Meet B

B.A.LENS

HEY THERE— IT'S NICE TO MEET YOU!

I go by B, and I have been taking and collecting pictures for over 30 years for myself, family, friends, companies I’ve worked for, and strangers on the street.

B.A. LENS serves as a nod to my grandmother, Barbara Anne, who helped raise me and was a big fan of taking pictures of the people and things she loved. We share the same initials, middle name, love of photography and love of mental health, and always trying to be a lens for good. I'm grateful for all the pictures she took, as most people in those pictures would be gone before I turned 30, including my parents. She left me with a guide to my past that sometimes helps answer questions I cannot ask my family anymore. She helped me in more ways than I can put into words.

I gained most of my experience by working as an assistant for weddings, engagement shots, family shoots, and as a souvenir photographer in Boston. I also love putting on my rollerblades and finding ways to use them to photograph/video!

Beauty can be found everywhere and I’ve learned to embrace and adapt wherever I am. I now work remotely in mental health as a Peer Support Specialist for an online organization, giving me more time and flexibility to work anywhere and pursue these passion projects and free photo shoots on the side! My focus now is using pictures and video projects/films for good---by empowering others on their journeys while starting a non-profit focused on resources for all.

If you have an idea you want to work on with me, please let me know! And check back for more updates, or sign up for my email list! And if you like my work and what I’m working toward--please buy me a coffee or two! Thank y’all for going on this journey with me; I’m excited to see where it goes!

Please remember to be kind and good to yourselves and others!

Much love!
